U.S. Department of Educational Regional Laboratories
The following ten regional educational laboratories are
sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. Their web sites feature
an enormous wealth of resources helpful no matter where you teach and
many of the laboratories have training modules, research articles, curriculum
frameworks and links pertinent to all areas of literacy and technology.
- Appalachia Educational
Lab (AEL) serves Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia,
and West Virginia.
- Laboratory for
Student Success (LSS) serves Delaware, Maryland,
New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C.
- Mid-Continent Regional
Educational Lab (McREL) serves Colorado, Kansas,
Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.
- North Central Regional
Educational Lab (NCREL) the Regional Educational Laboratory serves
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.
- Northwest Regional
Educational Lab (NWREL) serves Alaska, Idaho,
Montana, Oregon and Washington.
- Pacific Region Educational
Lab (PREL) serves the Pacific region.
- South Eastern Regional
Vision for Education (SERVE) serves Mississippi,
Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina.
- Southwest Educational
Development Lab (SEDL) serves Arkansas, Louisiana,
New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
- WestEd
serves the Regional Educational Laboratory serving California, Arizona,
Nevada and Utah.
- vLAB
at Brown University serves Connecticut, Maine,
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Puerto
Rico and the Virgin Islands.
